2.7 MIS-BUILT VEHICLES / NOT BUILT AS ORDERED (NBAO)
2.7.4 Identifying Mis-Built Conditions
Dealers are required to identify Mis-Built vehicle conditions and correct them as soon as found.
Always check the sales information to ensure equipment was not deleted or supplied based on updated options package information.
If you are unable to determine if the vehicle condition is a Mis-Built situation, then the Dealership should contact the Warranty Operations Helpdesk for assistance, prior to making the repair. Items removed or supplied due to updates are NOT considered Mis-Built and would not justify a claim.
NOTE: Missing Items subject to theft or loss that are noted on the Loose Item Checklist are the Carrier’s responsibility and should be claimed as loss and damage. They should not be part of a Mis-Built vehicle claim.
