SECTION 5 – WARRANTY PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT
5.3 THE WARRANTY CONSULTING AND AUDIT PROCESS STEPS
5.3.1 Step 1: Dealer Self Review
- Nomination selection: Dealers with a Red (i.e., below 60 DAS) Dealer Assessment Score (DAS) for two consecutive months on the Warranty Dealer Dashboard are nominated for Step 1.
- Nomination: Identified dealers are nominated for Step 1, and a Performance Improvement Period (PIP) will follow. A formal notification will NOT BE sent to the dealer. Dealers are required to conduct a self-assessment using the Dealer Self-Analysis Form. This process aims to gather preliminary information about the dealer's challenges and identify potential areas for improvement as part of the self-assessment.
- 3-Month PIP: A 3-month PIP is provided for the dealer, starting from the next month of nomination.
- Step 1 Exit: Once the PIP starts, and the dealer's DAS Score is either “Green” or “Blue” (i.e., greater than or equal to 60 DAS) for two out of three months, the dealer shall exit Step 1.
In Step 1, Dealers will have the opportunity to resolve potential issues without the direct involvement of a Warranty Consultant. To assist Dealers, the New Dealer Dashboard provides self-help tools, including detailed claims lists of those repairs that may have influenced the Dealer's adverse profile. It is expected that the Dealership Service personnel utilize the extensive online information to complete their Self-analysis.
Note: We recommend that dealers continuously self-monitor their performance, regardless of their DAS score.
