2.1 CARRIER DROP-OFF
2.1.5 Bill of Lading/Delivery Receipt/Electronic Proof of Delivery (EPOD)
The Bill of Lading / Delivery Receipt/ VSR is an inspection delivery document used by all Carriers. Some Carriers may use an electronic device in place of the delivery document (EPOD). The document allows for more than one vehicle to be delivered on the same document. Space is provided on the form to allow for annotation of transportation damage, missing items, as well as a remarks section. A list of the damage/missing codes are listed in subsequent pages in this Manual for use while inspecting a vehicle. Other than the exception coding, the form provides the same information as the prior delivery document.
IMPORTANT: Carriers have the ability to email this Electronic Delivery Receipt/ VSR prior to leaving the Dealership.
