SECTION 2 CARRIER DROP-OFF & NEW CAR DELIVERY
2.11 CUSTOMER DELIVERY
2.11.4 Warranty Start Date (WSD) Errors or Omissions
Vehicle sales reporting is the responsibility of the Dealer through the Vehicle Sales Division. The vehicle must be reported sold in the Vehicle Internet System Tracking Application (VISTA). If OASIS shows no Warranty Start Date or an incorrect Warranty Start Date, the Regional Sales Representative is responsible for handling all sales related issues which includes establishing a Warranty Start Date. For further assistance, the Regional Sales Representative can contact the Order Control Center (OCC). If the Warranty Start Date does not exist because the vehicle sale was not reported or if the Dealer is no longer in business or if the current date is beyond 1 year from the sales date, the OCC can help sales report the unit. Every year when a new model year is launched the oldest model year is dropped.
NOTE: Launches take place throughout the year, even prior to the actual calendar year. Example; 2016 launches May 2015, the 2006 vehicle will be dropped from our system as of May 2015.
