4.3 GENERAL INFORMATION & SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES FOR FSAs
4.3.1 Towing and Rental Vehicle Policy
4.3.1.1 Towing
Towing (if required) may be claimed for FSA repairs if the vehicle is outside of the Roadside Assistance Program coverage. Towing should be claimed on the same line as the FSA with “Towing” in the “Misc. Area” of the Claim. Justification for the towing should be explained in the “technician Comments” section of the Claim, along with the Towing Invoice Number in the Invoice Field. Refer to the OWS / SERVIS2 User Guide for complete claiming details. If the FSA does not call out Towing specifically, please refer to the FMCDealer for the latest guidelines. 4.3.1.2 Rental
Coverage for rental vehicles varies by FSA. If the FSA Bulletin specifies coverage for rental vehicles, reimbursement may be claimed. Refer to the FSA Bulletin for coverage details and the OWS / SERVIS2 User Guide for claiming details.
If the FSA does not allow for rental and the customer has an ESP with loaner benefits, rental may be claimed under ESP if:
- The vehicle is within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty for the FSA component; or
- The FSA component has extended coverage through the ESP plan.
