SECTION 5 – WARRANTY PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT
5.3 THE WARRANTY CONSULTING AND AUDIT PROCESS STEPS
5.3.4 Step 4: Follow-up Warranty Audit
- Nomination selection: Once the six (6) months PIP period has passed and the Dealership has not exited WCP, the dealership is nominated for Step 4.
- Audit & Decision: A formal notification is sent to the dealer, and a Ford consultant is assigned to work directly with the dealer. The consultant conducts a comprehensive audit of the dealer's warranty process, identifies further areas for improvement, and provides more in-depth support and guidance. Based on the findings, a high-level discussion is conducted to determine the appropriate course of action. This might include further support, restructuring options, or ultimately reviewing the dealership agreement.
- Note: At the Ford Consultant's discretion, the audit will proceed as either an in-dealership or desktop audit.
- 6-Month PIP: A 6-month PIP will be provided after the audit completion.
- Step 4 Exit: Once the PIP starts, and the dealer's DAS Score is either “Green” or “Blue” (i.e., greater than or equal to 60 DAS) for two consecutive months, the dealer shall exit WCP.
Note: Any Warranty Audit that identifies unusual or false claiming practices will result in a mandatory Follow-up Audit.
